CFO/Infrastructure Support Packages
We do not provide typical fractional CFO/CHRO support services. Many fractionals put together pretty packages and give you their expert advice from a 10,000 foot level and serve every type of business. We're a little different.
We only serve the MEP trades and their adjacencies. Secondly, while strategy and planning are important aspects of our services, we believe that businesses need to ACT, not just plan.
Entrepreneurs don't fit into one-size fits all packages, so we don't offer them. Every business is different and that's why each of our packages include working hours so that you can use our experts as you see fit. Packages are based solely on the number of hours you choose. There is no discounted rate for choosing more hours, but it is the only way to guarantee we are available to you each month.
Every package includes:
- Weekly financial flash reports
- Monthly financial report packages and 90 minute monthly meeting
- Extra hours to use as you choose each month
Options for your extra hours can include:
- Collaboration with cost-effective vendors to get your books caught up/in order
- KPIs and goals development and refinement
- Live financials and KPI dashboard development (hosting may or may not be included depending on your desired metrics)
- Executive coaching (many of our clients have a really hard time letting go of control and thus work way too much, or have imposter syndrome since they used to be in a truck and weren't a business school grad; we can schedule weekly sessions)
- Digging into profitability and identifying what types of services you need to stop, start or continue
- Looking at ways to make your technicians more efficient, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and an inexpensive company intranet to share them
- Making your company lean by deciding which processes and jobs should be automated, and which staff need to be replaced or augmented
- Getting your inventory management under control
- Assisting with field management software and financial management software deployments and integrations
- Developing a solid human resources base via a handbook, job descriptions, credit card/vehicle authorization forms, templates, offer letters and even electronic onboarding to make your business shine
- Creating a top-quality looking Total Benefits Guide to attract new talent, which could include options for low cost healthcare solutions through some of our collaborating vendors
- Developing projections and scenario analysis for paths you are considering for your company's future
- Assisting with cash-flow management and scenario analysis
- Polishing your company and getting it ready for sale, with support through the process (there are currently many options available for selling successful SMB MEP companies, including private equity, investors, and selling to employees)
Start-Up Package ($2,500/month)
OVERVIEW: The Start-Up Package is perfect for small businesses or startups needing reliable financial insights and regular monitoring, without the complexity of full-time CFO support.
Inclusions:
- Internal, ongoing review of financials, operational drivers and metrics
- Weekly Flash Reports providing key financial metrics and insights (Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Key Performance Indicators)
- Monthly Reports and 90-minute monthly Financial Review meeting with recommendations for improvement
- 2 additional hours/month of CFO support for special projects or more in-depth calls
- Ability to purchase up to 5 hours a month of additional admin support at $50 per hour for project work
- Replies within 24 hours for phone and email support inquiries
Infrastructure Growth Package ($5,000/month)
OVERVIEW: Designed for growing businesses looking for more strategic financial oversight and additional support with planning and financial optimization.
Inclusions:
- Internal, ongoing review of financials, operational drivers and metrics
- Weekly Flash Reports with deeper financial analysis (including variance analysis and trend identification)
- Monthly Reports and 90-minute monthly Financial Review meeting with recommendations for improvement
- 5 additional hours/month of CFO support for special projects or more in-depth calls
- Ability to purchase up to 10 hours a month of additional admin support at $50 per hour for project work
- Priority phone and email support for inquiries
Strategic Package ($7,500/month)
OVERVIEW: For businesses at a pivotal stage of growth or preparing for major milestones (like investment rounds, expansions, or acquisitions), the Strategic Package offers a comprehensive, hands-on approach to financial strategy and operations.
Inclusions:
- Internal, ongoing review of financials, operational drivers and metrics
- Weekly Flash Reports with deeper financial analysis (including variance analysis and trend identification)
- A live dashboard with 6-8 of your most important metrics (updated every hour)
- A live version of your monthly report (updated every hour)
- In depth monthly reports and 90-minute monthly Financial Review meeting with recommendations for improvement
- 10 additional hours/month of CFO support for special projects or more in-depth calls
- Ability to purchase up to 20 hours a month of additional admin support at $50 per hour for project work
